The questions everyone asks before committing.
01 What does AIIP™ actually deploy on my Mac? +
A 10-phase install per the AIIP™ Resource Bible Vol. I: Xcode CLT + Homebrew + Zsh + Git on Phase I; Node, Python, Rust on Phase II; Claude Code + OpenCode CLI on Phase III; Ollama + 4 local models on Phase IV; OpenClaw orchestration with 4-lane routing on Phase V; a Telegram control surface on Phase VI; a self-improving agent loop (Hermes + Aider) on Phase VII; Notion + Obsidian second brain on Phase VIII; a deployed business showcase on Phase IX; iCloud + Time Machine resilience on Phase X.
02 Why not just use Cursor? +
Cursor is one editor with one model integration. AIIP™ is a system-level deployment — not an editor. AIIP™ users have multiple agents (terminal-resident, Telegram-driven, headless), running across four model lanes (Claude / Ollama / GPT / Gemini), with persistent memory across sessions. Cursor is a knife. AIIP™ is the kitchen.
03 How is AIIP™ different from OpenClaw? +
OpenClaw is the open-source multi-agent orchestration framework — built and maintained by others. AIIP™ is the deployment methodology, configuration, economic architecture, and operational system around OpenClaw. PaperChaseWebb Inc. did not author OpenClaw and does not maintain its codebase. We curate, configure, deploy, document, and support — that is the IP.
04 Can I deploy this on a non-Apple machine? +
AIIP™ v1.0 is optimized for Apple Silicon (M-series Macs with 36GB+ unified memory recommended, 64GB ideal for the local-inference lane). The framework is hardware-aware but not Apple-only by design — Linux/x86 deployment paths are documented for v2.0.
05 What if I don't have ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro? +
AIIP™ recommends Claude Pro/Max ($20–$200/mo) and ChatGPT Plus or Pro for full four-lane routing. Lane 2 (Ollama, $0) and Lane 4 (Gemini free tier) are zero-cost from day one. Break-even on subscription cost vs. metered API usage typically arrives within the first week of moderate use.
06 Is my data going to the cloud? +
Configurably. Lane 2 (Ollama) is fully on-device — sensitive workloads can be routed there exclusively. Lanes 1, 3, 4 send queries to their respective providers. AIIP™'s Local-First principle means sensitive operations stay on-device; you choose what crosses the boundary.
07 How long does an install take? +
Tier 02 (Guided) is a 4–6 hour single guided session. Tier 03 (Done-For-You) takes 1–3 days end-to-end with 90-day support. Self-Serve users complete it in their own time — typical pace is one weekend.
08 What's the 30-day support window? +
For Tier 02 and Tier 03 engagements: any breakage of the AIIP™ install is fixed at no additional cost for 30 days post-install. Includes config drift, dependency conflicts, and any operational issues with the layers we deployed. Does not include feature additions or third-party tool support beyond the documented stack.
09 Can my whole team use one install? +
No — each operator needs their own AIIP™ deployment on their own machine, because persistent memory and credentials are per-user. Tier 04 (Enterprise) coordinates fleet-wide deployment with shared governance, training, and a knowledge layer that spans the team.
10 What if Claude Code or OpenAI changes their pricing? +
AIIP™ is built around redundancy — no single provider can become a system-wide point of failure. If a lane changes, the other three keep operating. We monitor provider terms monthly and ship configuration updates as needed.
11 Is there a refund policy on the course? +
Yes — the cohort and intensive formats use milestone-gated refunds. If you complete Module 1 and decide it's not for you, full refund. After Module 2, partial refund. After Module 3, the value is in the system you've already deployed and the refund window closes. Self-paced has a 7-day no-questions-asked refund.
12 Can I license AIIP™ to deliver under my own brand? +
Yes — Tier 04 Enterprise White-Label ($25K–$50K up-front + 5–10% royalty) is the path. Limited to 1–2 OEM partners per non-competing geography (e.g. EU, APAC). Email mgmt@paperchasewebb.com to start the conversation.
13 Is AIIP™ trademarked? +
AI Install Protocol™ and AIIP™ are claimed trademarks of PaperChaseWebb Inc. USPTO application status: pending. Common-law trademark rights are claimed via continuous publication starting May 2026.
